At our October meeting, we will have a guest speaker who will share her family's story and educate folks about what detainees experience as a way to encourage conversations about how to incite change. Our guest Allison is the wife of Flavio, a leader and advocate inside ICE and survivor of police brutality there, who has been ordered to be deported. Their family faces extreme financial hardship and is grappling with the gravity of being forced to leave the United States. We will both hear from Allison about their experiences as detainees, as well as to support her family's fundraiser. We will also spend this meeting updating about our campaigns, specifically Yes on 4, in the final weeks of the campaign. We hope you can join!
